Ravi Koli is one of my tutors on the Professional Doctorate Programme at the University of Bedfordshire. I really like his take on academic research/writing. He said:
“The world is a messy place. Particularly in the context of the digital age where the noise of data can feel tsunami-like. Your job, in social research, is to translate the noise of living into sounds that people can hear. De-cluttered writing is the art of bringing the noise level down”.
